Presented by Trout Unlimited Zane Grey Chapter as part of the TU Women’s Initiative
Fishing the Verde Valley – Dead Horse Ranch State ParkSaturday,
January 28, 2017, 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Bass Pro Shop, 2nd floor conference room (near camping)
1133 N Dobson Rd, Mesa, AZ 85201
Please join us and meet other women anglers, Bass Pro Shop Fly Fishing experts, representatives from Trout Unlimited, and members from area fly fishing clubs.
Jaquelyn Hartwig, the Bass Pro Shop Fly Fishing Instructor, will share her knowledge of equipment and techniques for fly fishing the ponds at Dead Horse Ranch State Park. We will also have a fly tying instructor from the Arizona Flycasters Club demonstrating tying flies for pond fishing.
Trout Unlimited representatives will explain what we’re all about and how you can get involved in conservation. You don’t have to be a fly fisher to join us, just have a passion about conservation and fresh water fisheries in Arizona. Local fly fishing club members will share their clubs’ missions and events, some for members only, and others open to the public.
The first 20 women who attend this event will be offered a Trout Unlimited cap with a free one-year membership in Trout Unlimited*. You will also be able to register early for the Dead Horse Ranch State Park Fishing Meet-Up, which includes a free one-year membership to the Arizona Flycasters Club*. Maps and information for Dead Horse Ranch State Park and Cottonwood will be available.
