Friends of Oak Creek Cleanup

Trout Unlimited Zane Grey and Grand Canyon Chapters Public Cleanup Event

Wednesday, August 9th, 9:00am-noon  Sign Up Here

We invite you to join Trout Unlimited, Zane Grey and Grand Canyon Chapters, along with the Oak Creek Watershed Council for a deep clean of our beloved canyon. We will meet at 9:00am, on Wenesday, August 9th, at Indian Gardens Market, along HWY 89A, in Oak Creek Canyon. There will be a short presentation, before teaming up to clean day use areas along Oak Creek. Around 11:45pm, we will all meet back at Indian Gardens to gather supplies, separate trash from recycling, report weights and thank volunteers.

We ask that volunteers bring comfortable shoes and some water as we will be hiking along the creek in some areas. The OCWC will provide buckets, trash pickers, gloves, reflective vests, and trash bags. Afterwards, we encourage you to enjoy a “creeky clean” spot or grab a delicious sandwich and catch up with new and old Friends of Oak Creek!

Thank you for your continued support!

If you have any questions regarding cleanups please feel free to contact Cordel Adler, Email: cordel@oakcreekwatershed.org
